"Meet the Staff": Sarah Turner

What’s a quote that motivates you throughout the day?I don't know if this counts, since it isn't a quote, but this is what I firmly believe: I don't believe in the word "no." I believe that if you ask enough of the right questions to the right people, you will always find a way. What’s your most memorable NSBR moment?Getting the temporary certificate of occupancy for IDEA Innovation. What are your favorite go-to locations to recharge and gain inspiration/motivation?I recharge on the bike or reading a book curled up at home/coffee shop. French Truck is my favorite in Baton Rouge. What’s about to get much better? The weather? It's finally fall.Who would play you in a movie of your life?I would never allow this to happen. What sets NSBR apart? We pivot. Sometimes it feels like we are crawling through cracks in the plaster, instead of a doorway or window. But when one line of work shifts for whatever reason, we don't ever walk away: we redefine it, reshape it, and go a different route. What bit of trivia do you know that is very interesting but also very useless? On his marriage document in 1582, William Shakespeare’s name was spelled ‘William Shagspeare’.What really needs to be modernized?Infrastructure. Schools have asbestos, mold, no working HVAC and nobody is doing anything about it.What topic could you spend hours talking about?Books. I try to read a book every 2 weeks.[caption id="attachment_2054" align="alignleft" width="200"]
